IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE COLORADO STATE FAIR PARADE

HELLO ALL:

HERE IS THE SCHEDULE FOR THE COLORADO STATE FAIR PARADE ON SATURDAY AUGUST 29TH.


9:00 ALL BAND MEMBERS MEET MR. SMITH ON THE CORNER OF GRANT AND
       
QUINCY TO GET INTO UNIFORM. (SEE ATTACHED MAP)


10:00 PARADE BEGINS (WE ARE NUMBER 88)

11:00 WE FINISH THE PARADE (PARENTS CAN PICK UP STUDENTS ON COURT
          STREET BETWEE 5TH AND 7TH.

2:15 MEET MR. SMITH AT THE STATE FAIR GROUNDS (ENTER THE FAIRGROUNDS ON
         SMALL AVE) AND GET BACK INTO UNIFORM FOR BANDSHELL PERFORMANCE.

4:15  PERFORM ON BAND SHELL, HANG UNIFORMS AND LOAD EQUIPMENT ON          
         TRAILER.

6:00PM. AWARDS AND ENJOY FREE ADMISSION TO THE FAIR!!!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT WESTERN WELCOM WEEK ON 8-15-15

HELLO ALL:


HERE IS THE INFORMATION ABOUT THE WESTERN WELCOME WEEK PARADE IN LITTLETON ON SATURDAY AUGUST 15TH.

WE WILL LOAD THE BUSES AT 5:45AM AND DEPART AT 6:00AM. THE PARADE WILL BEGIN AT 10:00. AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE PARADE, WE WILL BE HAVING LUNCH AT PARK MEDOWS MALL.

WE SHOULD BE BACK AT PUEBLO WEST AROUND 5:00. YOU CAN PICK UP YOUR STUDENT AFTER THE PARADE HOWEVER THEY HAVE TO RIDE UP WITH THE BAND.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT MINI CAMP

HELLO ALL:


MINI CAMP WILL RUN FROM 9AM-12:00 NOON FROM JULY 1ST-3RD WITH A PERFORMANCE IN THE PUEBLO WEST 4TH OF JULY PARADE. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT ALL PARTICIPANTS HAVE THEIR MUSIC PREPARED SO WE CAN DO OUR BEST ON THE 4TH.

ALL PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING A WATER BOTTLE, BALL CAP, SUN SCREEN, INSTRUMENT AND MUSIC. HERE IS A TENTATIVE SCHEDULE FOR THE CAMP.


JULY 1ST

          9:00-10:00 SECTIONALS (SERVICE SONG SET 1&2) (DRUMLINE AUDITIONS)

         10:00-11:00 FULL BAND REHEARSAL ( BAND ROOM )

         11:00-12:00 MARCHING FUNDAMENTALS (PARKING LOT)

JULY 2ND

         9:00-9:30 SECTIONALS

         9:30-10:30 FULL BAND REHEARSAL

        10:30-12:00 STREET MARCHING ON THE TRACK


JULY 3RD

        9:00-9:30 SECTIONALS AND PLAY TEST

        9:30-10:30 FULL BAND REHEARSAL

       10:30-12:00 STREET MARCHING ON THE TRACK


JULY 4TH

WE WILL MEET AT MAJESTIC BAPTIST CHURCH BEFORE 9:00 AM ON JULY 4TH. THE PARADE WILL END AT THE CORNER OF CIVIC CENTER AND JOE MARTINEZ. YOU CAN PICK UP YOUR STUDENT AS SOON AS THEY ARE DONE WITH THE PARADE.

THE BAND WILL NOT BE WEARING UNIFORMS IN THIS PARADE DUE TO THE HEAT.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT NEXT WEEK

HELLO ALL:


WE HAVE TWO BIG EVENTS NEXT WEEK. ON MONDAY, MAY 11TH WE WILL BE HAVING OUR SPRING CONCERT IN OUR NEW PERFORMING ARTS CENTER. THE CONCERT WILL BEGIN AT 7:00PM. STUDENTS WILL NEED TO REPORT TO THE NEW BAND ROOM AT 6:15PM IN CONCERT ATTIRE.

ON THURSDAY NIGHT WE WILL BE HAVING OUR AWARDS NIGHT. THIS IS A POTLUCK DINNER AND AWARDS NIGHT. WE ASK EACH SECTION TO BRING A DISH.

BRASS SECTION: MAIN DISH
WOODWIND SECTION: SIDE DISH OR DESSERT
PERCUSSION SECTION: SIDE DISH OR DESSERT.
COLOR GUARD: SALADS

DINNER WILL BEGIN AT 6:00PM IN THE LUNCH ROOM WITH THE AWARDS TO FOLLOW IN THE AUDITORIUM.

WE WILL BE FILLING OUT LETTER FORMS ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY. PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO LOOK THE FORM OVER AND CONTACT ME IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.
