NO REHEARSAL TOMORROW MORNING. THE PIT NEEDS TO REPORT AT 5:00 AND THE REST OF THE BAND NEEDS TO REPORT AT 5:30.

THANK YOU TO ALL THAT PARTICIPATED IN THE SURVEY FOR THE TRIP TO BRANSON MISSOURI. I WILL BE SENDING A PERMISSION SLIP HOME FOR YOU TO SIGN AND RETURN. WE WILL BE HAVING ANOTHER MEETING ABOUT FUNDRAISING AND OTHER DETAILS REGARDING THE TRIP ITS SELF.

INFORMATION ON CBA SOUTHER REGIONAL MARCHING FESTIVAL ON WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 15TH

HELLO ALL:


HERE IS THE INFORMATION ON THE CBA SOUTHERN REGIONAL MARCHING FESTIVAL BEING HELD A T LIBERTY HIGH SCHOOL IN COLORADO SPRINGS ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 15TH. THIS FESTIVAL IS QUALIFYING FESTIVAL FOR THE COLORADO BANDMASTERS STATE MARCHING BAND CHAMPIONSHIPS BEING HELD AT THE UNITED STSTES AIR FORCE ACADEMY ON OCTOBER 24-25. HERE IS THE SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY.

1:30 PM    DEPART PWHS
4:25 PM    WARM UP
5:30 PM    PERFORM AT DISTRICT 20 STADIUM AT LIBERTY HIGH SCHOOL
8:45 PM    AWARDS
10:00 PM  ARRIVE BACK AT PWHS

WE WILL BE TAKING THE KIDS TO A FAST FOOD PLACE FOR DINNER AFTER THEIR PERFORMANCE. IF YOU COMING TO WATCH AND WOULD LIKE TO TAKE YOUR STUDENT HOME WITH YOU, PLEASE LET ME KNOW SO WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR THEM WHEN IT IS TIME TO GO. FOR LIABILITY REASON YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO TAKE YOUR STUDENT HOME.

INFORMATION ABOUT CSUP BAND DAY ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 4TH

HELLO ALL:

BELOW IS THE SCHEDULE FOR CSUP BAND DAY ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 4TH.  THIS IS A VERY LONG DAY AS WE REHEARSE WITH THE CSUP BAND DURING THE DAY AND PERFORM WITH THEM AT NIGHT. STUDENTS WILL NEED TO MEET MR. SMITH IN THE LOBBY OF HOAG HALL AT CSUP AT 7:30 TO CHECK IN. TRANSPORTATION WILL NOT BE PROVIDED TO LET MR. SMITH KNOW IF YOU NEED A RIDE. STUDENTS WILL NEED TO BRING A SACK LUNCH WITH THEM. WE ARE ASKING FOR $6.00 FROM EACH STUDENT SO WE CAN PURCHASE PIZZA AND SODA FOR THEM AT DINNER TIME. WE HAVE BEEN ASKED TO BE A FEATURED HALF TIME BAND THIS YEAR. SEE THE SCHEDULE BELOW AND PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.

7TH ANNUAL CSU-PUEBLO BAND DAY: SATURDAY OCTOBER 4TH, 2014

7:30 a.m. check in at Hoag Hall Lobby located in the Music Building
8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. Sectional Rehearsals
9:30 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. Break/Move to Hoag Hall
9:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Full Music Rehearsal in Hoag Hall
11:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Lunch Break on your own - Ample fast food restaurants near campus
1:00 p.m. - 1:15 p.m.  Brief CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves Marching Band Exhibition Performance at stadium
1:15 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Onfield Pre-Game Rehearsal followed by seating in stands
2:30 p.m. - 3:10 p.m. Pueblo West High School Marching Band Practice Time - observers welcome - Performing to East Stands
3:15 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Sand Creek High School Marching Band Practice Time - observers welcome - Performing to West Stands
4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Dinner Break on your own - Ample fast food restaurants near campus
5:30 p.m. Gather Near Stadium Gate 3 (Southwest corner ramp entrance to stadium).
             Student musicians and allowed teachers/adults need to enter together as a group.  All others music purchase gate admission.
5:40 p.m. Pre-game Festivities begin / All student Members in position for performance at track level, west stands
6:00 p.m. Kickoff v. Adams State
7:30 p.m. Estimated time for Half-Time performances
9:15 p.m. Estimated Conclusion of game

UPDATE ON THE TRIP

AFTER OUR PARENT MEETING, I RESEARCHED SOME OTHER OPTIONS. ADVANTEDGE TRAVEL SUGGESTED AN OPTION OF THE BAND GOINT TO BRANSON MO. THIS OPTION COULD WORK AS A BUS TRIP AS IT IS ABOUT A 12 HOUR DRIVE FROM PUEBLO. THE COST OF THIS TRIP IS $792.00 PER STUDENT.  PLEASE VIEW THE ITINERARY AND PROPOSAL AND ANSWER THE SURVEY QUESTION ON THE LINK PROVIDED. FROM THERE WE WILL SET A DATE FOR A DEPOSIT AND MOVE FORWARD.
